Flashmob 4/21/2011

This Thursday, April 21, 2011, Future Voices of America will be providing donations to an organization called Homestretch. A donation based organization, located in Roswell, GA, which provides assistance to otherwise homeless families working to get back on their feet, and into a situation where they can provide permanent, sustainable housing for themselves.

The families that come to HomeStretch are families working for pay at or below the poverty threshold. Many of these families are under financial stress and hardship, unable to make ends meet, and inevitably become homeless. This organization is a great place, with a great mission. Many of the families at this facility are able to put themselves in a position to avoid government reliance in order to survive, and better their situation for long term self-sustainability.

Everyone we spoke with at Homestretch was very enthusiastic about this event. They’re really excited we chose to do this with their organization!

Future Voices of America will be at Homestretch at 10:30am until they are sick of us (or we have to get back to work)! Spread the word and we hope you stop by to make a donation and say hello!

The program director said these families need anything from non-perishable groceries items, everyday toiletries, daily house hold items, etc. Basically, any item that is part of normal monthly necessary expenses and survival. If you live in Georgia, we hope to see you this Thursday at Homestretch in Roswell, GA. Feel free to email me at sarajohnson@futurevoicesofamerica.org if you have any further questions about the event. If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate, please contact me and I will made sure your donation gets to Homestretch this Thursday.
