Looking for answers for Tuesday night’s election results? Look no further than the exit polls. They reveal several key reasons President Obama was re-elected: (1) more people blame Bush than Obama for the economy, (2) more people think Obama can relate to them than Romney can, (3) Hispanics increased their support for Obama versus 2008 and (4) women, especially single women, favored the incumbent by double-digit margins.
Fox News’ Tuesday exit polls revealed a series of in-depth data for the nation as a whole and several of the key battleground states. As of this posting, Mitt Romney has only carried one (North Carolina) of the eleven swing states with Florida still counting ballots. He needed to win five or six in order to take the White House. It looks like it is back to the drawing board for the GOP.
