In a world that proves to be a constant struggle for traditional God-fearing Americans to find wholesome family entertainment, the Robertson clan on Duck Dynasty is a much needed breath of fresh air. The season four premiere of the A&E show attracted a mind-blowing 11.8 million viewers, catapulting Duck Dynasty to become the biggest unscripted show in cable history. Phil Robertson, a former standout football quarterback at Louisiana Tech, has been an born again believer since the ’70s. During that time, he went through a full turnaround giving up his life of drinking, fighting, and mistreating his family. Duck Dynasty is a story of redemption, one in which many Americans can associate with.

Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson is also unapologetically pro-life. He has expressed that the United States’ acceptance of the practice is proof that the country has strayed far from her founding principles.

“Listen, from the time you started inside your mother’s womb, Thomas Jefferson had it right…you have the God-given right to life for crying out loud…We need more George Washington’s, we need more Andrew Jackson, we need more Thomas Jefferson. A God given right to live and the God given right to pursue happiness”

I pray we have more “Robertson’s” in American television and movies. Our culture is starving for traditional values of faith and family. There is a silent majority in America that I feel in the coming years will not stay so silent when they continue to see the very institutions that made our nation a shinning city on a hill eroded. The Robertson’s have taken a stand for Truth in the very place it is needed. Will you join them?

New episodes of Duck Dynasty air each Wednesday at 10pm on A&E.
